While pulp magazines were popular reads in the middle of the 20th century the editors rarely hired female artists or writers for the stories. If women were hired as creatives they tended to write or sign their art under aliases or not use their first name which would reveal their gender. This issue of "Startling Pin-up Stories" features such a story written by a woman but who chose to credit their work using their initials from their first and middle names. #pinupart #pinupartist #pulpfiction #p
